Term 3 conference - Leadership with or without a title

What a fantastic conference at Jarmers Kitchen, Bowden, with the impressive and empowering keynote speaker Thilan, CEO of TLC Leadership Group, who has had a remarkable career spanning many roles, including HR Lead within the Department for Education, best selling author, barrister and int. humanitarian lawyer, UN hostage negotiator, among many other roles. Alongside her senior colleague Monique, Thilan delivered an incredibly practical, relevant and thought-provoking workshop.
The session provided us with practical tools and strategies to lead and manage conflict, while also encouraging us to stop, reflect and consider ourselves as leaders — what we do well, how we respond to challenging situations, and where there may be opportunities for growth and improvement.
Through exercises, role play and real-life scenarios, we explored the struggles we face as leaders every day and worked together to reflect on how we can respond, communicate and lead more effectively.
But it wasn't just about professional development. It was about learning from one another, supporting one another and engaging in meaningful conversations that also contribute to our personal growth.
It was truly insightful, at times confronting, but incredibly well presented. The workshop gave us resources, tools and strategies to help us become better leaders, with OR without a title.
A wonderful opportunity to learn, reflect, connect and grow together as leaders and as people.
